Review: Crescendo By: Becca Fitzpatrick

Nora should have know her life was far from perfect. Despite starting a relationship with her guardian angel, Patch (who, title aside, can be described anything but angelic), and surviving an attempt on her life, things are not looking up. Patch is starting to pull away and Nora can't figure out if it's for her best interest or if his interest has shifted to her arch-enemy Marcie Millar. Not to mention that Nora is haunted by images of her father and she becomes obsessed with finding out what really happened to him that night he left for Portland and never came home.

The farther Nora delves into the mystery of her father's death, the more she comes to question if her Nephilim blood line has something to do with it as well as why she seems to be in danger more than the average girl. Since Patch isn't answering her questions and seems to be standing in her way, she has to start finding the answers on her own. Relying too heavily on the fact that she has a guardian angel puts Nora at risk again and again. But can she really count on Patch or is he hiding secrets darker than she can even imagine?

OH BOY, this book literally had me on the edge of a cliff (well the edge of my bed really, but you get what I mean!). When I read Hush Hush I thought nothing would ever be able to top it, I was wrong. Step aside Hush Hush, Crescendo just passed you.
This gripping sequel to one of the best books I've ever read has me abosolutely speechless! Crescendo definitely leaves readers hungry for more. Becca throws more twists than ever expected and weaves such an intricate plot that gets everyone questioning Nora's every move! And who can forget the drool-worthy Patch, there's no shortage of him in this book that's forsure so ladies get ready! Full of suspence, Crescendo had me hanging onto every last page and so will you once it hits bookshelves this October.

Off the bat we learn what really happened to Nora's father the night he never returned and what it means for Nora in present day. Nora and Patch definitely struggle a little bit in this book, full of miscommunications and Nora not being able to say what really is on her mind pushing Patch further and further away.A new character is introduced , Scott (an old friend of Nora's from her childhood), and there's definitely something fishy about him. Then there's the good old Vee. I couldn't love a character more! Strong and bold Vee is the friend that EVERYONE needs! She adds humor to this book that no one else can because they're too busy with the unnatural.Last but not least, is Marcie Millar. A character that makes me want to scream but with her part in Crescendo and her tie-in with Nora, I feel we learn to love our favourite characters even more. Fallen Love, Fallen Lust & Fallen Lost, Crescendo will rock your world 10x harder than the first book leaving you hungry for what happens next!

My Rating: 5outof5 Stars, could not find a point in this book where I was disappointed or unhappy with what I was reading!
